(Y) Edition designed Giovanni Cavagna, represents his creative and innovative vision of volumes and materials.

The (Y) collections are recognizable by the tailored garments structured without any compromise by a fashion “architect”, with special attention to the knitting constructions and ergonomics, oversize men shirts adapted on the female body, pants in unseen shapes.  The constant designer’s research on new materials, sometimes futuristic techniques and unusual matches, are all key elements that place (Y) in the “contemporary prêt-à- porter” area, resolutely dedicated to trend-setters.

(Y) Edition drowns on the stylistic value of the designer merging to contemporary art forms of art and industrial design.

Despite the choice of using the “no color”, the irresistible creativity of the designer brings into play the balance of lights and shadows created by using the fabrics in an unusual way with new constructions adapting to the body. The No Gender concept of the Man and Woman collection are crosswise, the combine, they are interwoven and contaminate each other: often the same garments fit to both sexes. In particular, in the men’s apparel we find details, processing and asymmetries stolen from the women’s universe; vice versa the woman’s apparel often uses fabrics or fetched from male garments.
